Delbarton School is an independent Catholic college-preparatory day school directed by the Benedictine monks of St. Mary's Abbey. The School is rooted in the tradition of a strong liberal arts education and is founded in the 1500-year tradition of Benedictine learning which seeks to develop the whole person, both as an individual of mind, body, spirit and as a member of a community dedicated to service to others . The Delbarton community comprises a faculty of eighty-seven men and women and a student body of five hundred ninety young men, grades seven through twelve. The teaching tradition of the School calls upon faculty members to serve beyond the classroom as coaches, advisors, counselors and/or administrators.
