Hold a Master’s Degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university.
Displays leadership skills in curriculum design, program evaluation, staff development, and school improvement plans.
Reviews testing instrumentation and instructional materials.
Knowledge of federal grant implementation, required state reporting and data collection.
Strong understanding of current research-based instructional practices.
Ensures the appropriate use of technology as it relates to instructional integration.
Fosters vertical articulation related to instructional resources and curricular progress, PK-8.
Coordinates all standardized testing.
Demonstrates the ability to work and communicate effectively with administrators, staff members, parents, and the community.
Works with principals to schedule and organize grade level and departmental meetings.
Studies, evaluates, and recommends to the superintendent the adoption of new instructional materials, methods and programs.
Assists in the implementation of the district's in-service education program for the instructional staff.
Conducts classroom observations and provides supervision/evaluation of teachers and non-certified staff.
Assists in the recruitment, screening, hiring, training and assigning of instructional personnel.
Reviews and evaluates results of district-wide testing programs.
Assists in the development and coordination of the sections of the budget that pertain to curriculum and instruction.
Coordinates professional development to meet instructional needs.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the superintendent.
