Description:  Fort Lee Athletic Department is seeking Head, Assistant, and Volunteer Coaches for the 2025-2026 School Year - Fall Sports Season

Fall Sports: Football, Boys/Girls Soccer, Volleyball, Cross Country, Girls Tennis

Locations: Fort Lee High School & Lewis F. Cole Middle School

Qualifications:

  • Must have valid NJ Teaching Certification or Substitute Certification to apply 
  • Must have experience and knowledge of sport of interest
  • 2+ years experience preferred             

Working Conditions: Stipend Position as per negotiated FLEA contractual agreement 
Class I = Football
Class II = Boys/Girls Soccer, Volleyball, Cross Country
Class III = Girls Tennis

  • Class I Head Coach - Step 1: $8,933  Step 2: $10,049 
  • Class I Assistant Coach - Step 1: $6,594  Step 2: $7,148 
  • Class II Head Coach - Step 1: $7,829   Step 2: $8,975 
  • Class II Assistant Coach - Step 1: $5,955  Step 2: $6,524 
  • Class III Head Coach - Step 1: $4,893  Step 2: $5,349 
  • Class III Assistant Coach - Step 1: $4,573  Step 2: $4,785 
  • Volunteer Coaches - No Compensation

This is a position paid by a stipend at the end of the season.  A voucher must be signed by Athletic Director and submitted to Payroll or Accounts Payable for payment. 

Application Procedure:   All interested candidates must apply online and select the appropriate coaching position on the extracurricular screen of the application.  All certifications must be uploaded prior to the closing date of the posting to be considered for any certified position in the Fort Lee School District.  
Selection Procedure: Candidates being considered for the position will be contacted by the hiring administrator to schedule an interview.
