QUALIFICATIONS: |
- A bachelor’s degree and a P-3 teaching certificate.
- At least 3 years of experience teaching general education preschool programs.
- Experience in implementing developmentally appropriate preschool curricula, preferably The Creative Curriculum for Preschool.
- Experience with a range of appropriate early childhood assessments, including performance-based assessments, preferably Teaching Strategies GOLD.
- Experience with classroom-quality assessment tools such as ECERS-3 and TPOT.
- Experience providing professional development to classroom teachers.
- Preschool Professional Development Fellow status, which can be earned in the first year of employment.
- Experience with the Pyramid Model and Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool (TPOT) preferred.
- Serve as a preschool intervention and referral specialist (PIRS) according to 6A:13A-4.2
