Secretary, Payroll Department

Classification:
    Category 1 / 12 months

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED with business curriculum required
  • Associates degree in business, accounting or related field preferred
  • Three years prior experience in a secretarial/clerical and/or payroll position
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and/or accounting principles
  • Knowledge/experience with Google Apps, Genesis, and Frontline Education preferred
  • Ability to maintain extensive office records and prepare related reports
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and problem solve independently
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Such equivalent combinations of related experience and training as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Terms of Employment:

  • Salary and benefits pursuant to MTEA collective bargaining unit
  • Salary range $54,716- $65,858 plus any longevity to which a successful candidate may qualify
