Description
CUSTODIAN - EVENING
Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent.
Must possess good work ethic.
Must possess or be able to obtain Black Seal License.
Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Shift:
District
3:00pm - 11:00pm
Salary:
Full time, 12 month position.
According to contract.

Responsibilities:
Provide cleaning and general housekeeping in all areas of the facility which includes the buildings and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and its contents.
Prepare facilities and/or activity areas for school functions.
Responsible for the proper use, security, and maintenance of school equipment.
To shovel, plow and/or sand walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps as appropriate.
To clean lavatories, other sanitary stations, and drinking fountains daily or at a frequency determined by usage or condition. Such cleaning shall be in accordance with district health and sanitation standards.
To wash all windows on both the inside and outside on a scheduled basis or as may be deemed necessary.
To keep the buildings and grounds free from rubbish and debris.
To keep all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.
To clean (wash) all whiteboards, and chalkboards at least once each week.
To make such building repairs as he or she is capable.
To report needed major repairs promptly to the Facilities Supervisor or Director of Facilities.
To maintain a regular schedule of inspection of motors and other mechanical equipment as assigned and report condition of same.
To report any act of vandalism, destruction, or damage to school property promptly to immediate superior.
To remain on school property during scheduled working hours and at other time periods when use of the building has been authorized.
To assume responsibility for the opening and closing of the building and for determining, before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured and all lights, except those left on for security reasons are turned off.
To conduct an ongoing program of general upkeep and repair.
To move furniture, equipment, and supplies within and between buildings or locations as may be required.
To comply with procedures for the collection of and disposal of trash, rubbish, and waste.
To observe for violations of safety factors involving electrical installations and reports same to immediate supervisor.
To perform other position related duties as may be assigned.
