Job Title: After-School Program Worker (T.A.L.O.N.S.)
Reports To: Extended School Program Coordinator
Job Purpose: To help plan and conduct hands-on learning experiences for students and provide homework help to students during the before and after school care program.
Qualifications-Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience working with elementary age children
Experience developing and facilitating hands-on activities and games
Ability to hand a high-energy environment
Ability to work well and collaborate with others
Excellent communication skills
Ability to address and handle student behavioral issues and emergency situations
Exhibits a patient, caring and creative demeanor
Excellent work ethic
Flexible schedule that allows for AM shifts before school or PM shifts after school
Ability to pass the required Criminal History Review
Ability to submit the Sexual Misconduct/Child Abuse Disclosure Form
Qualifications-Desired:
CPR/First Aid certification
Highly organized
Ability to be flexible with time
Experience tutoring students in grades K-5
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides group supervision to students ages 5-12 with attention to behavior and group management, health, safety, security, and personal and skill development
Plans, conducts, and participates in hands-on activities with students
Provides homework help to students each day
Serves as a positive role model to the students
Follows and promotes T.A.L.O.N.S. rules and district policies
Demonstrates a commitment to producing high-quality work
Working Conditions:
Morning shifts 6:15 am until the start of school day
Afternoon shifts from end of the school day until 6:00 pm
Hourly Rate of $19/hour
School Building

Ability to work with students ages 3-12 years old
Ability to walk up/down stairs
Ability to stand for long periods of time

Ability to demonstrate good physical condition in order to execute all responsibilities associated with the position
