Description School Psychologist
Qualifications:  Valid New Jersey school psychologist/school social worker certification
Performance Responsibilities:
  • Evidence of knowledge in special education programs, administering educational assessments, and state law.
  • Serves as a case manager as assigned and maintains appropriate case records.
  • Participates in the evaluation, classification, and placement of all pupils with special needs.
  • Consults with classroom teachers, administrators, and parents regarding methods and/or materials necessary to meet the specific needs of individuals and groups of pupils.
  • Counsels pupils.
  • Proficiency with crisis interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
