THE POSITION
This position is for a self-contained classroom that is not co-taught or integrated. The candidate will be a Special Education Elementary teacher  with experience working with students with emotional regulation impairment, and strong behavior modification experience.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

1.NJ Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students w/Disabilities Certificate and Elementary School Teacher certificate required.
2.Experience with self-contained classrooms and behavior disabilities preferred.
3.Teaching experience with special needs students preferred.
4.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5.Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.

Starting Salary Range:

•Bachelor's Degree: $57,985 - $83,185
•Master’s Degree: $64,985 - $92,785
•Master's + 30 Credits: $68,785 - $98,585
•Doctorate: $70,785 - $100,585

  1. New Jersey Instructional Certificate or eligibility.
  2. Teaching experience preferred, but not required.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge in subject area.
  4. Familiarity with use of technology as instructional tool.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Required criminal history background check
  7. Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.

To provide instructional leadership in the classroom in accordance with the course of study approved by the Board of Education approved curriculum.
