Music Teacher (Band) (Leave Replacement 01/02/2025 – 01/31/2025)

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Leave Replacement Music Teacher to instruct students in a classroom environment that fosters
learning and personal growth and works to achieve the educational goals established by the district using approved
curricula, textbooks, and other appropriate teaching materials.

Specific responsibilities and qualifications include:

Planning for and teaching small group 7^th and 8^th grade band lessons
Planning for and teaching large 7^th and 8^th grade band ensemble classes
Collaborating with a team teacher in the orchestra classes to plan for chamber ensembles, lessons, and sectionals
Knowledge of beginning and intermediate band repertoire
In depth knowledge of pedagogy for woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments
Strong understanding of the 7^TH and 8^th grade school age group and mentality
Familiarity with instructional technology and music technology

REQUIREMENTS:

NJ Certification (Music, K-12)
Exemplary Technology skills
Ability to collaboratively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
