Description:

Brick Schools is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Chemistry Teacher to inspire and educate students at Brick Township High School. The teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with NJSLS-S, foster critical thinking, and promote hands-on learning through experiments and labs. The ideal candidate will create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages scientific inquiry, supports diverse learners, and prepares students for further studies in science.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of chemistry principles, lab safety protocols, and curriculum standards (NJSLS-S if in New Jersey)

• Experience with inquiry-based or student-centered teaching methods

• Ability to integrate real-world applications and current scientific research to enhance curriculum

• Design and implement 3D learning tasks that emphasize scientific content, practices and safety

• Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles and abilities

• Foster a collaborative classroom environment that promotes curiosity and engagement

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

NJ Certification:  Teacher of Chemistry (2279) or Teacher of Physical Science (2240) or Teacher of Comprehensive Science (2200)
