Great Oaks Legacy Charter School is seeking a dynamic, mission-aligned educator to join our team as a Special Projects Coordinator

The Special Projects Coordinator provides logistical and operational support that helps promote the success of our academic team. The SPC is the primary owner of various school systems including project and database management, compliance, technology support, and event planning. The SPC will report directly to the school’s Campus Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced environment, can manage many competing priorities and constituents, and can work efficiently under deadlines. 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Special Projects Coordinator will report directly to the Campus Operations Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Planning, preparation, and facilitation of logistics for campus based events, including parent-teacher conferences, back to school events, awards nights, and staff training.
  • Creating and distributing communication for parents, families, staff, and other community members.
  • Creating and implementing efficient systems for school-wide projects.
  • Coordinating extra curricular activities, enrichment programs, and field trips.
  • Supporting student and staff technology needs, and maintaining campus technology as needed.
  • Managing the distribution of student meals and the collection of Free and Reduced Meal Forms and other parent/family deliverables.
  • Participating in student recruitment, enrollment, registration, and attendance processes, as needed.
  • Coordinating with the HR/recruitment team to market and showcase the school by sending candidate communication, scheduling interviews, leading tours, etc.
  • Supporting COVID-19 testing, on-site vaccination clinics, contact tracing, and other measures, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Belief that all students have what it takes to be successful.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a competitive college or university is strongly preferred.
  • Relentless work ethic.
  • Minimum of one year of administrative experience, preferably in a non-profit or urban school setting.
  • Strong organizational, event planning, and time management skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to multitask effectively and adhere to deadlines and requirements.
