DESCRIPTION: The Behavior Technician is a highly trained behavior intervention specialist with knowledge and skills necessary to support students through the application of applied behavior analysis (ABA). They provide a full range of behavioral supports, following established protocols and the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP). The Behavior Technician is responsible for the direct implementation of skill acquisition and behavior modification plans developed by the district’s Behavior Specialist.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Degree + Certification
2. Ability to work directly with students under the direction of the district’s Behavior Specialist. 3. Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in addressing behaviors that impede student learning. 4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 5. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
