We are currently seeking a One-on-One Special Education Teacher for our Lindens Behavioral Stabilization Unit in Mt. Laurel, NJ.
About the Lindens Behavioral Stabilization Unit
The Lindens Center is one of the most innovative behavioral therapy and residential programs in the nation. Designed for children and adolescents with acute behavioral challenges, the program combines leading expertise, best practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a home-like setting, and a collaborative team approach to help each child experience significant quality-of-life improvements.
As a One-on-One Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized instruction within a structured, supportive environment to help students develop essential academic, behavioral, and life skills.
Position Summary: Your Role & Impact
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans that align with students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and unique learning needs.
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles throughout teaching, intervention, and data collection.
- Assess and monitor student progress, ensuring IEP goals remain appropriate and effective, making modifications as needed.
- Create an engaging and structured learning environment that fosters skill-building and academic growth.
- Collaborate closely with families, guardians, and an interdisciplinary team to ensure student success.
- Conduct parent training both in the classroom and at home to extend learning beyond the school environment.
Qualifications & Experience
We’re looking for dedicated and compassionate educators who are passionate about helping students with behavioral challenges thrive.
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- NJ Standard Teaching License in Pre-K to 3, K-6, or K-8.
- NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) or Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) Certification.
- Knowledge of special education teaching methods tailored for students with learning, physical, and behavioral disabilities.
- Strong teaching, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
