ANTICIPATED POSITION FOR 2024-2025 SY
Assistant Principal - David Brearley Middle-High School
Leave Replacement Position
Anticipated Dates: Feb. 6 - June 30, 2025
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s Degree from an accredited or approved institution.
Valid NJ Certification as a Principal.
At least five years of successful experience teaching in a middle school or high school.
Knowledge/experience with middle-high school programs.
Must be an instructional leader.
Possesses outstanding communication skills.
A required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status.
Must meet NJ Residency requirements per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70).
REPORTS TO:
Superintendent of Schools
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Daily rate determined by prorated salary and terms of the collective bargaining agreement.

strong interpersonal skills and legal knowledge necessary to oversee educational standards in accordance with the law
strong command over classroom instruction necessary to provide teachers with high quality feedback
knowledge of student information systems, including scheduling, grading, and transcript processes
a commitment to outreaching and partnering with parents and community
conflict resolution skills necessary to mediate challenging situations
Member of the NJ Statewide Recruitment of Diverse Educators (NJSTRIDE).
