Paraprofessionals provide teaching support and must have a high school diploma (or
its equivalent) and also meet one of these requirements:

Finished two years of study at a college or technical school; or
Hold at least an associate’s degree; or
Be able to show, through a formal state or local academic assessment, that they know about and can assist in reading, writing, and math instruction such as having passed the ParaPro test.
Other training or certifications necessary for a specific position (e.g. training in ABA, certification as a behavior technician, EpiPen, Diabetic Response Training) is preferred.
Experience working with children ages 3 to 15.
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff members both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teacher.
Required fingerprinting and criminal history background check.

Salary & Hours:
Part-time 5 days per week; $25 - $32 per hour depending on experience:
Valley View School from 8 am to 12 pm
Valley View School from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm
Bayberry School from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
Bayberry School from 12 pm to 4 pm
