(Grades K-12) – District

• Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of Bilingual/Bicultural Education and other valid instructional certification)
• Ability to interpret and unpack the NJSLS – as it applies to language development for MLLs
• Ability to scaffold content and instruction
• Willingness to collaborate with content area teachers and ESL teachers
• Ability to interpret results of state and local data (including WIDA)
• Fluent in spoken and written Spanish language
• Bilingual (a plus)
• Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching (a plus)
• Knowledge of best practices in working with MLLs
• Understanding of the needs of Newcomers
• Knowledge of Google Apps for Education
• Demonstrates detail in required paperwork, documentation, etc.
