School Security Officer (2)

Job Summary: Fort Lee Public Schools is seeking to hire 2 Part time Security Officers.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced Law Enforcement Officer retired in good standing.
  • Five years of experience working with juveniles, preferred.
  • Completed or willing to complete the School Resource Officer Program within a year of being hired.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Certification of good health signed by a licensed physician.
  • Possess a valid NJ Motor Vehicle Driver’s License.

Responsibilities Include:
Providing security and protection to all students, staff, school property, and visitors to school buildings by monitoring all areas of the school, ensuring students and staff wear identification and that visitors provide proper identification upon entering, being a role model to students, working with school administration and local law enforcement during an emergency or investigation, and building positive relationships with all stakeholders.

Working Conditions: 11 month position, Part Time up to 29.5 Hours/Week
