Description

Qualifications: 

  • New Jersey Mathematics Certificate  (Preferred) NJ Teaching Certification (Mandatory)
  • 5 years of successful teaching experience
  • Ability to integrate technology
  • Working knowledge of theory and research on the current best practices and instructional materials in math
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers and administrators
  • Ability to use performance data to develop personalized instructional programs

 

Responsibilities: 
 
  • Provide appropriate instructional interventions for identified students. 
  • Assist in the identification of students in need of intervention.
  • Plan, demonstrate, co-teach, and provide support to classroom teachers.
  • Assist in developing curriculum-based assessments.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to assist in the implementation of the mathematics curriculum.
  • Examines data to measure the success of math programs and instruction.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Elementary Education

Employees of the Morris School District hired after the effective date who do not reside in the State of New Jersey at the time of hire have one year from the effective date of employment to relocate their primary residence to New Jersey. Employees of the school district hired prior to the September 1, 2011 effective date of this Act are grandfathered and are not required to relocate to New Jersey.
