LOWER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION
 
Position:                     SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
           
Position Begins:         July 1, 2025
 
The Lower Township Board of Education is seeking an innovative and student-focused educational leader for our Superintendent of Schools position. This leadership role must demonstrate a commitment to the social, emotional and academic needs of all our students. A successful candidate will foster a shared vision, be dedicated to academic excellence and student achievement, maintain a safe and innovative learning community, promote continuous and supportive professional growth for all staff, while maintaining the fiscal integrity of the budget.
 
Qualifications:          
  • NJ School Administrator Certificate required (Certificate of Eligibility or Standard)
  • Experience in a district with similar demographics preferred
  • Preschool to Grade 6 experience preferred
  • 3+ years Central Office/Principal experience required
  • Demonstrates commitment to parent, business and community involvement
  • Demonstrates commitment to the social, emotional and academic needs of all students
  • Evidence of proven success with promoting continuous and supportive professional growth for all staff
  • Evidence of proven success with curricular and instructional systems and programmatic   change
  • Evidence of the understanding of school finance and school budgets
  • Demonstrates knowledge of relevant laws and policies regarding educational administration
  • Excellent communication and human relations skills
  • Ability to foster a shared vision for constant district improvements
  • Proven ability in strategic planning and the creative use of human and financial resources
 
Job Goal:         To inspire, lead, guide and direct every member of the administrative, instructional and support services staff in achieving the highest academic excellence and student achievement, so each student in the district may be provided with an equal, appropriate and effective education, while maintaining a safe and innovative learning community.
                         
Salary:             Commensurate with education and experience; subject to NJ State regulations.
