Description BERGEN COUNTY SPECIAL SERVICES
ANNOUNCEMENT:  POSITION OPENING  

The Board of Education is seeking applications for the 2024-2025 school year for the following position:

TEACHER OF THE HANDICAPPED/TEACHER OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
(10 Months – Certificated)
BLESHMAN REGIONAL DAY SCHOOL
 
Qualifications:
  1. New Jersey DOE Certificate required - Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities.
  2. An instructional endorsement - required Elementary Endorsement.
  3. Experience working with students with multiple disabilities population - preferred.
  4. Effective written and oral expression.
  5. Must be able to perform physical work, which requires frequent bending and lifting. Independently lift/carry up to 25 lbs., more than 25 lbs. with assistance.
  6. Demonstrated enthusiasm for supporting the needs of students with significant educational disabilities.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
  8. New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date to hire.
