Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years teaching experience
NJ Supervisor certificate required
Knowledge of English Language Arts and Social Studies content and research in curriculum and instruction
Content area certification preferred, but not required
Experienced in writing curriculum and planning professional development
Exemplary evaluations
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Proficient use of computers and instructional technologies

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing, monitoring, and supporting English Language Arts and Social Studies curriculum implementation
Provide support to building level administration to ensure effective implementation of ELA and social studies curricula
Responsible for staff evaluations and supervision
Advise, train, and support instructional coaches/coordinators with the development and implementation of the curriculum and provide support for these staff to ensure teacher success
Plan, prepare and deliver professional development to support building and district initiatives
Collaborate with the district curriculum team to ensure initiatives are aligned with district mission and vision
Analyze student assessment data, reviews student achievement, reports results, and make appropriate curriculum recommendations
Assist with budget preparation
Facilitate curriculum committees to review, revise, and create curriculum
Remain abreast of research and best practice in the field and curate research based resources that support curriculum
