Description

The Quinton Township Board of Education is seeking an educational leader to guide our PreK-8 school district in our community.  The successful candidate will bring experience building relationships with students, staff, and community. This is a small community of 2500 with every variety of family unit; those who have generational roots and those who are building a new foundation for their lives.

We have a dedicated team of 72 professionals, including teachers, paraprofessionals, aides, and those who ensure our facilities are clean, our operations run smoothly, and our environment remains safe and secure.  In that one building we provide 300 children with an opportunity to grow the skills and curiosity they need for a happy, successful life in an ever changing world.  Our high school students are enrolled in Salem High School, the Salem County Career and Technical High School and the Host Site Academies located at Arthur P. Schalick High School; Penns Grove High School; Pennsville Memorial High School; and Woodstown High School.

Candidates given consideration will cite specific examples of their role in:

  • Creating a safe, inclusive environment that supports students and staff
  • Meeting the academic goals set for each student
  • Developing an effective Social Emotional Learning climate and programs
  • Resolving difficult and sometimes ambiguous situations with transparency and integrity
  • Communication around day to day and the significant critical incidents that impact the community

Candidate Requirements:

  • New Jersey School Administrator Certificate or eligibility required
  • Demonstrated experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, building level administrator, or other central office leadership preferred.
  • Demonstrated creativity in managing financial situations in difficult situations
  • Walk through reasoning used in specific difficult decisions
  • Examples of conducting courageous conversations with staff and community
  • Examples of applying knowledge of education to make or foster agreement on change
  • Experience deploying curriculum changes to meet changing needs

Compensation:

  • Salary will be commensurate with education and experience, in accordance with NJ State regulations.
