Teacher of Students with Disabilities - Leave Replacement

Avon-by-the-Sea School District is a one building district serving approximately 120 students in grades PreK through Grade Eight. We are in search of a Teacher of Students with Disabilities to lead a grades K-2 Language Learning Disabilities (Mild-Moderate) classroom beginning on or about April 28, 2024 through the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. Applicants must possess the required certification and demonstrate a successful track record of exceptional instructional pedagogy, advanced technology skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across many platforms. 

 

Job Description:

Required NJ Certification:

  • Elementary School Teacher K-6 (1001) 
  • Teacher of Student with Disabilities (2475)

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with evidence-based literacy and math instruction
  • Ability to implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
  • Multisensory approach to instruction
  • Expertise with differentiating instruction to meet various levels of need and ability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support student success
