The Board of Education invites applications from qualified candidates for the following position:
2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
Position: Substitute School Nurse
Nature and Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Principal / Superintendent, the Substitute School Nurse will provide health services to students and staff, including administering first aid, medication management, and implementing health care plans. The nurse will also be responsible for maintaining health records and conducting screenings as needed. The substitute nurse will support the overall health and safety of the school community and respond to health emergencies in compliance with district protocols.
Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey School Nurse Certification
- Current CPR/AED Certification
- Knowledge of New Jersey health regulations and school health procedures
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations
- Required Criminal History Check
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status by completing Federal Form I-9
- Pass required State Mantoux/Tuberculin test and physical exam
