Description The North Plainfield School District, a culturally diverse school district in Somerset County serving 3,700 students Pre-K through grade 12, seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative professional for the position of Preschool School Social Worker. 
 
Qualifications Include:
  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Responsibilities Include:
  • Confers with student support staff in planning strategies, adapting practices and making modifications that will assist children in meeting academic, social emotional, behavioral and career goals.
  • Consults with CST members regarding the best way to implement support within the school and in the community for students who have significant medical and mental health issues
  • Coordinates meetings with social service, mental health agencies, and other outside organizations/agencies to develop partnerships focused on mental health.
  • Assists student support team members with strategies for involving and educating families, students, and school staff about mental health and referrals.
  • Knowledgeable about and adheres to the State and Federal regulations and established departmental procedures.
Salary: $66,765 (minimum) to $99,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
