We’ve also just finalized a new, highly competitive contract that includes three full and four half days of PD, plus opportunities to earn extra compensation.

Job Overview:
The School Counselor will be an integral part of our collaborative team, primarily serving Memorial School (grades 3-6) while also supporting students at Taylor Street School (PK-2). This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive services that nurture the social and emotional, development of our students. The successful candidate will work closely with the Coordinator of SEL to continue developing the PBIS framework in Memorial and play a key role in launching this impactful program at Taylor Street School next year.
Responsibilities:

Provide dynamic and responsive counseling services to students, fostering their well-being and growth.

Develop and implement innovative programs that support the holistic development of students.

Offer valuable guidance and professional development to school staff, empowering them to support our students.

Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a strong support network for each student.

Actively participate in the school's PBIS Core Team, ensuring students receive the support they need.

Embrace other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our school community.
Qualifications:

Valid New Jersey School Counselor certification.

Demonstrated experience working with elementary school students.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
