Interim Superintendent of Schools

The Garwood Board of Education, located in Union County, New Jersey, is searching for a highly qualified school leader with strong administrative and instructional skills to lead the PreK-8 district.  The district serves approximately 425 students in two schools with an operating budget of approximately $12 million dollars and has a send/receive agreement with ALJ High School in Clark.

Qualifications:

• Valid NJ School Administrator Certificate or eligibility
• Five years of experience in school administration
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of curriculum development, program evaluation, staff development and school improvement, central office, school administration and teaching experience as determined by the board.
• Ability to work with the Board of Education in developing and maintaining a vision for excellence and a quality education for all children

Salary to be commensurate with education and experience; subject to NJ State Regulations.
