Description

Camden FireWorks is seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Language Instructor to teach beginner-level Spanish to adults in a dynamic and engaging art gallery. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong knowledge of the Spanish language and a desire to share that knowledge with others. The instructor will help students develop foundational skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish. All sessions will be held in-person at our art gallery in South Camden.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Spanish language classes to adult learners at a beginner level.
  • Create lesson plans with interactive content that caters to adult learners' needs and interests.
  • Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist students in building their conversational skills, basic grammar, and vocabulary.
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback to ensure improvement.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students.
  • Prepare learning materials and assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with students and answer questions related to the language.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Spanish (native or near-native fluency).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching.
  • A degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field is required.

Compensation: $3,600 for a 12 week engagement ($300/week)

Hours of Availability: Instructor must be available for 90 minutes during one of the following time periods - Sunday 4pm to 5:30pm, Monday 7pm to 8:30pm, or Wednesday 6pm to 7:30pm
