Elementary School Advisor: Spring Musical Director (Music Advisor)

Description:
Constable Elementary School is seeking an experienced Musical Director (Music Advisor) to lead the production of our Elementary musical featuring 4th and 5th grade students. The musical typically culminates in a performance in mid-April. This position involves overseeing all aspects of the production, fostering student creativity, and ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for all participants. This is a stipend role for the duration of the production season. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee all rehearsals, including vocal, acting, and movement coaching for student performers.
• Collaborate with school staff and administration to coordinate rehearsal schedules and performance dates.
• Lead efforts related to music selection, student auditions, and casting.
• Support and guide students in developing their performance skills and confidence.
• Work with staff, parents, and volunteers to organize costumes, props, and set design.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants.
• Communicate key production information to students, staff, and families.

Qualifications:

• Background in music, theater, or related performing arts experience.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students (preferred).
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
