Description BERGEN COUNTY SPECIAL SERVICES
ANNOUNCEMENT:  POSITION OPENING  

The Board of Education is seeking applications for the 2024-2025 school year for the following position:

1:1 ASSISTANT (MULTIPLY DISABLED)
(10 Months – Non-certificated)
BLESHMAN REGIONAL DAY SCHOOL

Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma.
  2. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Must be able to perform physical work, which requires frequent bending and lifting. Independently lift/carry up to 25 lbs., more than 25 lbs. with assistance.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work with or experience working with children with disabilities - preferred, not required.
  5. Demonstrated enthusiasm for supporting the needs of students with significant educational disabilities.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
  7. New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date of hire.
