Special Education Teacher

Qualifications:
|
|
1.
|
Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate in Special Education K12, or Teacher of the Handicapped, or Teacher of Students with Disabilities.
|
|
2.
|
Elementary Education Certificate additionally preferred.
|
|
3.
|
Ability/experience working with small groups of students with significant needs (academically/behaviorally).
|
|
4.
|
Experience and success in working with multiple staff in a single classroom setting.
|
|
5.
|
Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.
|
|
6.
|
Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
|
|
7.
|
Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status.
|
|
8.
|
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of proven instructional
strategies as they relate to student achievement.
|
|
