Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma and two (2) years of post-secondary training in secretarial skills/office practice or five (5) years of successful employment experience (preferably in a public school district in NJ) as an executive secretary or administrative assistant;
  • Background and/or experience in accounting and bookkeeping a plus;
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the operation of a school district;
  • Demonstrate effective knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite;
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal including phone skills and general correspondence;
  • Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan, organize, and meet established deadlines;
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task, expedite and schedule work efficiently, and manage office tasks;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status


REPORTS TO: School Business Administrator/Board Secretary

SALARY: As determined by the Board of Education 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month unaffiliated position
