THE POSITION
Candidates should have experience working in a special education classroom or resource room setting, with behavior modification experience. He/she should desire to work cooperatively with academic teachers within a team concept.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
1.NJ Teacher of the Handicapped OR Teacher of Students with Disabilities and the appropriate teaching endorsement certification required.
2.Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
3.Teaching experience with special needs students preferred.
4.Strong interpersonal and communication skills
5.Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.

•Bachelor's Degree: $57,985 - $83,185
•Master’s Degree: $64,985 - $92,785
•Master's + 30 Credits: $68,785 - $98,585
•Doctorate: $70,785 - $100,585 |

To provide instructional leadership in the classroom in accordance with the course of study approved by the Board of Education approved curriculum.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
