Description

Qualifications:

  • New Jersey Elementary School Teacher Certificate

  • Reading Specialist Certificate and/or Orton Gillingham Certificate (Preferred)

  • 5 years of successful teaching experience

  • Ability to integrate technology

  • Knowledge of Response to Intervention (RTI)

  • Ability to use performance data to develop personalized instructional programs
     

Responsibilities:

  1. Teach targeted literacy intervention to small groups of students daily using research-based strategies and resources

  2. Provide support to teachers and provide strategies to improve instruction that will support literacy growth across the curriculum. 

  3. Collaborates with teachers in all departments to promote the learning and implementation of best practices in literacy instruction. 

  4. Examines data to measure the success of literacy programs and instruction. 

  5.  Other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
