Middle School Special Education Teacher - LLD Program

For those still in the process of attaining certification, please know that the North Plainfield School District is approved for participation in the NJDOE Limited Certificate Program which may allow you to work in a full time role as you complete your final certification requirements. Qualifications Include:
Certification as Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped required
Proven experience working with students with special needs
Experience instructing activities of daily living
Ability to differentiate instruction to a student’s individual needs
Deep knowledge and understanding of the NJSLS
Familiarity in working with data to help make informed instructional decisions
Strong skill set in lesson planning, behavior management, curriculum development, assessment, and integrating various educational resources.
Growth mindset - the district provides professional development and employs instructional coaches to support teachers in their pedagogy
Salary: $66,765 (minimum) to $99,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
