TITLE OF OPEN POSITION:                                           School Custodian – 1st Shift -Custodian/Grounds
 
DATE POSITION WILL BE VACANT:                          Immediately

SALARY:      As per the agreement between the Phillipsburg Board of Education and the Phillipsburg Custodial/Maintenance Association
                       
JOB DESCRIPTION:                                        Full time position to perform custodial duties
 
QUALIFICATIONS, MANDATORY:           
  1. Ability to follow oral or written work orders from supervisor, and to coordinate work with principal.
  2. Ability to describe orally or in writing cleaning, maintenance or repair problems as needed.
  3. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
  4. Ability to perform custodial and grounds duties (field prep, grass cutting, provide safe and clean grounds.)
  5. Ability to work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
  6. Ability to work above ground from ladders and automatic lifts.
  7. Required criminal history background check
  8. High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to successfully perform the duties of the position.
 
QUALIFICATIONS, DESIRED: 
1. Boiler License/Black Seal
2. Previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance           
 3. Motor Vehicle Operator's license
