Teacher of Math - Tenure Track

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our middle school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans, instructing students, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure student success in grades 7-8. 

• Valid Standard New Jersey certification in K-12 Mathematics required or Teacher of Elementary w/ Middle School Math Specialization
• Strong foundational background knowledge in mathematics
• Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the content field and describe ways in which the content can be organized into lessons for secondary students
• Ability to educate secondary students, maintain a positive learning environment and develop students' knowledge and skills in mathematics
• Ability to develop students' appreciation and knowledge of the various career opportunities associated with mathematics
• Ability to develop and utilize diverse techniques in order to reach all learners
• Proven ability to work harmoniously with diverse populations

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of students

• Use a variety of teaching methods and techniques to engage and challenge students

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that student needs are being met and to promote student success

• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge?

• Must be able to work harmoniously in a multicultural diverse community.

Salary:
Based on collective bargaining agreement determined by years of experience, education and funding.
