Description EFFECTIVE DATE:              ASAP

POSITION:                             BSI Assistants – AST-0397
                                                3.5 hrs/day   5 days/week
                                                Thomas Jefferson Elementary School

REQUIRED CRITERIA:

Minimum of 60 hours or more college credits
Ability to work with struggling learners at the elementary level
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to be flexible and follow teacher directions
Demonstrated patience and a willingness to learn
Able to assist students with academic, behavioral, and organizational tasks
Maintain confidential information and demonstrate respect for all students

PREFERRED CRITERIA:

College course work in education or related field/degree
Computer proficiency
Experience working with elementary students
