Kindergarten Paraprofessionals

Requires 60 college credits or passing grade on the Paraprofessional Praxis

The role of a Kindergarten Classroom Paraprofessional is to supervise and support students in the classroom including but not limited to:

• Assists with individualized instruction and works with small groups of students under the supervision of the classroom teacher
• to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
• Completes clerical duties as assigned by the classroom teacher (20% clerical work, 80% student-centered time)
• To support students' progress, complete data collection forms when requested by the teacher or Data team.
• Assists pupils with various projects, crafts and curriculum tasks.
• Assists in playground supervision.
• Performs other appropriate duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or building Principal/Assistant Principal.
