School Bus Driver (on call)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible School Bus Driver on call. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transportation and a commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers. This role involves driving school buses.

Duties

• Safely operate buses on designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Transport students to their destinations in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and mechanical integrity.
• Educate passengers on safety procedures and assist them as needed during boarding and disembarking.
• Maintain accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during transit.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus driving.
• Previous experience in bus driving or commercial driving is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English is highly desirable; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience with children is beneficial for understanding passenger needs.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate passengers on safety protocols.
• A commitment to punctuality, reliability, and maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
