ESL Teacher (part-time)

Position Purpose

Must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of teaching English as a Second Language, second language acquisition, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis and research related to learning and children needing to learn English as a second language.
Must be familiar with NJSLS, WIDA ELD Standards and Screening/ Eligibility Process.

Qualifications Profile

Certification/License: New Jersey Teacher of ESL Standard Certificate, CE or CEAS with ESL endorsement

Education

Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
