Math Teacher

Immaculate Conception High School, located in the vibrant community of Montclair, NJ and entering its 100th year, is a renowned institution committed to providing a high-quality education and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.  We are seeking a passionate and collaborative High School Math Teacher to join our organization and inspire our students to achieve academic excellence.  

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and effective math lessons aligned with the school curriculum
• Have content knowledge to teach algebra, geometry and pre-calculus to students in grades 9 through 12
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and exams.
• Provide individualized support and guidance to help students succeed.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student learning and development.
• Stay current with educational best practices and incorporate new teaching strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• NJDOE Certification is preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience teaching high school mathematics is preferred.
• Ability to create a dynamic and interactive learning environment.
• Experience with the Advanced Placement curriculum is preferred, but not required
• Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
