Description BERGEN COUNTY SPECIAL SERVICES
ANNOUNCEMENT:  POSITION OPENING  

The Board of Education is seeking applications for the 2024-2025 school year for the following position:

TEACHER OF THE HANDICAPPED/TEACHER OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES - PRESCHOOL (6 POSITIONS) 
(10 Months – Certificated)
Autism Program
 
Qualifications:
  1. New Jersey DOE Certificate required -Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities (CE/CEAS or Standard).
  2. An instructional endorsement – required PreSchool through Grade 3 Endorsement (CE/CEAS or Standard).
  3. Experience working with students with disabilities - preferred.
  4. Ability to motivate studeents in a positive and creative learnign environment.
  5. WIlling and able to complete Crisis Prevention & Intervention training.
  6. New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date to hire.
