Summer Camp Director - Summer 2025
REPORTS TO: Summer Camp Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience as camp director or relevant role
- Teacher certification preferred
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Randolph Community School hosts a series of Summer Camps for residents and the great surrounding communities. Each camp group Trailblazers K-1, 2-3, 4-5, CITs, Travelers, and Explorers will have a Director whose primary responsibility will be to assist the manager in planning and preparation for the designated camp and assist in the day-to-day operations of that camp during camp days, in coordination with the other Community School Staff.
The Director will be responsible for ensuring their groups camp safety, coordinating, planning and overseeing daily activities all while creating a fun, and rewarding environment for each camper and staff member. This will also include supervising staff, creating schedules and covering breaks.This position will also work with other Directors to coordinate activities to ensure no overlap in schedules. In addition the Director will manage child, parent and staff concerns keeping the Manager informed and requesting help when/if needed. The Director will also provide the Assistant Camp Manager weekly updates from the weeks activities and trips for the weekly newsletter. In addition they will keep the group on schedule and attend all group trips. Directors are expected to work a minimum of 4 camp weeks (consecutive or non-consecutive) preferably all 8 weeks of camp.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist Camp Manager & Assistant Manager
- Monitor safety and security of group of campers & staff
- Assist specialists with camp activities for group
- Attend all group camp trips
- Any additional tasks as assigned by the Camp Manager
- Attend paid staff orientation meeting & family meet & greet prior to the start of camp
