Hasbrouck Heights is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Business Administrator/Board Secretary. In this essential role, you will ensure the smooth operation of our school district through effective financial oversight as well as engagement in facilities planning, construction and maintenance, administration of transportation, food service and community programs. The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication abilities, advanced technology skills, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a lively and demanding environment.

Qualifications:
  • Hold a current School Business Administrator Certification.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the duties of the Board Secretary
  • Demonstrate experience in finance and accounting practices, preferably within a school setting.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of financial budget, planning and administration, insurance/risk administration, purchasing, accounting and reporting, facilities planning and administration, construction/maintenance, administration of transportation and food service, central data processing and other business related functions.
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge within technological infrastructure and cybersecurity.
  • Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character.

Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years+ as a sitting Business Administrator/ Board Secretary within a public school district
  • Working knowledge of Pre K- 12 District Budget Planning and Execution 
  • Working knowledge of grant writing, allocation and supervision for various areas of operation of a school district 

Salary: to commensurate with experience
