Description School Physician's Duties:

Provide information and guidance regarding medical matters that impact school environments.
Develop and review health services polices.
Supervise Health Screenings conducted by School Nurses.
Review and approve requests for Home Instruction.
Conduct, review and interpret concussion and cardiac assessments.
Conduct sports physicals and clear student athletes to participate in school-based organized sports.
Provide guidance for the development of medical 504 Accommodation Plans.
Communicate as necessary with local treating physicians regarding the medical care of their clients.
Suggest training for district-based School Nurses.
