Sound and Lighting Technicians (2024-2025 School Year)

Our District is currently accepting applications for the position of Sound and Lighting Technicians for the 2024-2025 school year.  There are multiple part-time, hourly positions available effective January 6, 2025.  These positions will be assigned, as needed, to cover various events.

Qualifications:
  • Exceptional communication skills with a team-focused mindset.  

  • Demonstrated effective organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Master of lighting set-up and operations, including, but not limited to: Addressing Networking/DMX systems for automated and LED fixtures, Pixel Mapping and DLP programming, Systems networking Art-Net and sACN. 

  • Ability to perform and track general service on lighting gear and restocking expendables. 

  • Ability to discern intensity and color while creating appropriate stage looks. 

  • Knowledge of overhead rigging systems and setting up large lighting rigs with overhead rigging. 

  • Proficiency in EOS.  
     
  • Knowlege of and experience with sound boards and sound equipment. 

Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to: 
  • Coordinate with and integrate the disciplines and design needs of other departments to ensure event success.  

  • Complete training on various manufacturers’ products and service protocols, and/or as assigned.  

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills by communicating concisely via email, phone, or in person. 

  • Oversee all safety and quality control procedures of auditorium inventory. 

  • Manage and update consoles and patching. 

  • Manage and maintain lighting and sound inventory 

  • Review lighting/staging equipment specification(s) for each production.
