Part-Time Child Study Team Secretary
12 Month Position
For the 2025-2026 School Year

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, organize, and maintain confidential CST files and student records in compliance with legal regulations (e.g., IDEA, FERPA).
• Schedule evaluations, IEP meetings, and appointments; manage calendars for CST members.
• Prepare and distribute official CST correspondence including meeting notices, IEP documents, and reports.
• Monitor timelines to ensure compliance with mandated special education deadlines.
• Track and monitor the submission of student progress reports to ensure that all IEP goals and objectives are reviewed.
• Input and update student data in the district’s special education management system (e.g., Realtime).
• Support documentation and compliance related to the Special Education Medicaid Initiative (SEMI).
• Prepare parent communications and manage attendance records for the Extended School Year (ESY) program.
• Process and track purchase orders, vendor contracts, and transportation records related to special education services.
• Respond to parent inquiries and staff communications with professionalism, discretion, and sensitivity.
• Provide additional administrative support to the Director of Special Services as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Knowledge of special education terminology, procedures, and compliance requirements is a plus
• Proficiency in Realtime(student information system)
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
• Required criminal history background check.
