Lamberts Mill Academy
Full-Time, 10-Month Position
Available September 1, 2024
Union County Educational Services Commission is a public school district located in Westfiled, NJ that was established to provide innovative and cost-effective educational programs for students with special needs, parents and staff members of our 21 member districts. The Commission is currently seeking a Guidance Counselor to fill a full-time vacancy at Lamberts Mill Academy. Lamberts Mill Academy is a specialized high school designed for students with special needs who require a comprehensive therapeutic approach while receiving a rigorous course of study. Students are able to experience a traditional high school environment in a non-traditional program. Our program blends academic rigor with comprehensive clinical and psychiatric services, social and daily living skills, transition services, as well as a wide range of enrichment programs to meet students at their levels.
Description:
• 10-Month Position
• Full-Time, 5 days per week
• Hours: 8:20 – 2:40 p.m.

Qualifications:
• Earned Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• School Counselor certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Education.
• Valid New Jersey Motor Vehicle License w/Clean Driving Record.
• Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience and/or experience providing school counseling services in a secondary educational environment.
• Knowledge of a broad range of professional competencies related to school counseling.
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills needed to relate well with administration, teachers, students, parents and members of the community.
